Partner Matthew McNicholas and Senior Lawyer Doug Winter filed a lawsuit on behalf of a former Riverside Fire Department (RFD) firefighter who was allegedly fired in retaliation for requesting reasonable accommodations for an on-duty injury he suffered in 2017.
The lawsuit alleges discrimination, failure to accommodate, retaliation and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.
After plaintiff Joseph Camarillo was fired, it is alleged that his RFD deputy chief met with LAFD supervisors about his medical condition and his ability to work as a firefighter.
