Los Angeles Business Journal Recognizes Matthew McNicholas and Patrick McNicholas on 2024 Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys List

Partners Matthew McNicholas and Patrick McNicholas were selected for inclusion in Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2024 Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys list, recognizing the deep impact their work has had on law, policy and public safety.

Noted for his representation of police officers, firefighters and other first responders, Matthew holds unethical employers accountable for misconduct, corruption and discrimination, and creates real change in these departments. He serves as panel counsel to the Los Angeles Police Protective League and the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City and is Southern California’s top employment attorney for first responders. In 2023, he secured over $17 million in employment resolutions, championing the fight against misconduct in law enforcement agencies.

Patrick was lauded for achieving nearly $5 million in mass tort resolutions in 2023. His efforts held massive utility companies and manufacturers accountable and improved the lives of millions of Californians. His advocacy includes representing over 12,000 victims against Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), SoCal Edison and the California Department of Water and Power (DWP) notably as co-lead in cases like Dixie Fire and Creek Fire, and serving on Plaintiff’s Steering Committees for various mass actions.
