Partner Patrick McNicholas Set to Speak at University of San Francisco Graduation
Partner Patrick McNicholas will be a commencement speaker for the University of San Francisco’s (USF) College of Arts and Sciences. A former member of the USF Board of Trustees (2003–2012) and current trustee emeritus, McNicholas has been an advocate for Jesuit education at USF for over 40 years. After attending Jesuit schools in Los Angeles alongside his six siblings, he then attended USF, where he served as student body president in 1981– 82 and earned his degree from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1983.
McNicholas has played a key role in establishing The Kelly & Craig Perkins Scholarship Fund, which offers scholarships to full-time USF students in good standing with financial need. He also co-founded Urban Compass, a nonprofit focused on education for underprivileged children, where he served on the Board of Directors. In 2024, he joined the Board of Directors of the Inner City Law Center in Los Angeles.
In recent years, McNicholas has focused on supporting the Department of Athletics and providing resources for student Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, acknowledging their increasing significance in collegiate sports. His contributions were essential to the success of The Hilltop Club in its first year.
