Lawsuit Filed: LAPD Officer Sues Long Beach Towing Company & Driver for Near-Death Injuries After Tow Truck Crashed into Him
McNicholas & McNicholas filed a lawsuit against Long Beach Towing and Storage, Inc. and its driver on behalf of 25-year-old Los Angeles Police Department officer Armando Medina, who was nearly killed when a tow truck ran a red light, crashing into him. The collision at a South LA intersection occurred as Officer Medina and his partner were responding to an emergency call for backup when the tow truck driver smashed against the rear passenger side of the LAPD patrol. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics had to pry the two officers free and immediately were hospitalized for serious to critical conditions.
The lawsuit is ongoing, but to learn more on the collision, read the stories published by FOX11 and CBS.
